Chapter 3 - A Horrible Price to Pay
P. 72. "Though resilience is what we gained, as a function of the water getting better, the land getting better, the town getting better, and the animals getting better. I made the changes that I made simply to get away from practices I found displeasing and wrong. I didn't wear a sack cloth and put ashes on my head. It wasn't a philanthropic endeavor. But I realized that I had fought nature all my life and I wasn't ever going to win. That's why, midway into my life, I walked away from the altar of technology. I turned my back on reductionist science. I ceased to listen to the specialists sponsored by the corporations, the consultants with the corporate name tags, and even to other farmers and ranchers who followed all the corporate rules. And I started to listen to nature, which knows everything and never lies. And the farm started working properly again. Because here is what I know now, unshakably and unequivocally: If you will just sit still and shut up and pay attention, nature will tell you everything you need to know. She will provide you with everything you need to make your farm work. Nature knows everything, forgets nothing, and bats last."
It is the same with our health. When a person is still and becomes an observer, no longer living by what is popular and instead learning to be quiet and becoming aware of their body, they will see exactly what their body needs each day.
With all the division and controversy over who should be our next president in this election year, I thought it worthy to examine the difference between the U.S. president who is to this day the only president officially honored on this holiday and the president whose holiday was combined with the original holiday to make what most people now call, "President's Day."
George Washington was a valiant, humble soldier who led our forefathers into independence from an intrusive, money-hungry government that sought to control and tax them beyond reason. Most people believe Abraham Lincoln to be the next greatest president. Yet the truth speaks otherwise. Listen and learn the truth about our 16th president. From me and from Joel Salatin, 2 old and, perhaps, wise men.
Abraham Lincoln changed the landscape of our country. He was the leader of change from a country founded on freedom to a country controlled by a more and more intrusive, controlling, money-hungry government, much like the British ...

One year ago I ended up with a sinus infection following a cold. I was miserable for a couple weeks. Something I want to avoid ever having again. After it was over, I realized I hadn't been resting well, going 7 days a week, and decided it was time to stop the extracurricular activities and to discover how to stay healthy during the winter season.
In this video I share tips from personal experience and my understanding of the science behind the prevention and treatment of sinusitis, both acute sinusitis infection and chronic recurrent allergic sinusitis.
Discover my go to food for healthy living during the winter. The essential oil that tops the list for treating sinusitis. And much more.
Dr. Michael Nehls has researched the cause of Alzheimers Disease for decades. Listen & understand better the connection between a disease that destroys the humanity of a person and a forced jab that is designed to do the same. Links to his book & his interview with Tucker Carlson below.
I must admit it seems a bit odd to me that, for all the interest I have in food and farming and ranching, I have such a "brown" thumb. I have killed numerous plants, avocado trees, tomato plants, the list goes on & on. Not always from neglect, either. I have tried fish meal fertilizer, seaweed, composting bins, "green sand," & soap sprays.
My mango tree is over 5 years old, and not only no flowers & no fruit, but a friend and more recently a neighbor each said independently the same thing: "There's something wrong with your mango tree." And I actually live 2 houses down from Mango Street. The few leaves that were able to hang on this tree in a storm looked brown and curled up soon after opening.
Then it came to me one day to just throw vegetable scraps on the ground under the tree. Scraps from cutting up veggies I get every week from https://littlepondfarm.com/, a regenerative agriculture farm where the soil health is key to the quality of the produce.
No one told me to do it, ...
Though not a whiskey drinker, I do prefer to search the Encyclopedia Brittanica, https://www.britannica.com/ more than other sites of knowledge. Looking for information, without what seems to me the political censorship of Wikipedia. Today's (March 27, 2024) home page features how Scotch whiskey differs from other whiskeys.
