I sign up on email lists from my representatives in Florida. To remind me to look into their voting record and ignore their hype. Here is an example, an email from my representative (for District 13), Charlie Crist.

And my response to Mr. Crist:
"I received the email from my representative (for District 13), now running for Governor, Charlie Crist (https://crist.house.gov/news/email/show.aspx?ID=3VRJ2ZSIXPONJFA54KIE5CK3MA). It seems, to pull the heartstrings of the environmentalists and the beach goers in order to gain their favor in the upcoming gubernatorial election. I am against oil drilling off Florida's coast simply for the unsightliness, and I am thankful for the current ban. Yet when I followed the link the email provides, I find the ban came from an amendment voted on by Florida voters in 2018 and by a 2020 ban on off shore drilling signed by President Trump. And the current state of the Gulf of Mexico (a dead zone the size of New Jersey near the mouth of the Mississippi River) is from all the chemical fertilizer being dumped into the Gulf from the industrial farming of the 14 states that drain into the Mississippi (source: The Gulf, by Jack E. Davis, Univ of Fla. History professor.) Come on Charlie, a logical thinker isn't going to buy your supporting something that is already an amendment on the Florida constitution. Champion something real while you are still my representative. Like supporting regenerative agriculture, and banning chemical fertilizer."
It is very simple to send responses to our representatives and let them know how we side on situations. I sent my response in a few minutes by going online. The USA is a republic, not a democracy! If we let our representatives know where we stand, we have fulfilled a responsibility of our citizenship. And we are no longer a part (spiritually) of any harm resulting from our government when they don't represent our values. It is best to speak up, even if for a minute or 2.

Our veterans may be the only ones who have had the experience. Though after the recent hurricanes here on Clearwater Beach the National Guard visited our neighborhood and handed out MREs. Watch this short video if you have never seen an MRE and are curious about the ingredients. And if you have eaten MREs as a veteran on a war front, enjoy a burger or a hot dog on the grill instead!
Be aware of what you put on your skin. Especially if it is a chemical that increases skin absorption of harmful chemicals. Found in cosmetics and on disposable razors. And learn a better way. Old school, traditional approaches are often safer, less expensive, and less toxic to the environment.
